a 501(c)(3) food pantry organization serving low income
families in Riverside, CA since 1917!
Our
mission is to help families and individuals who have
temporary subsistence needs by giving them free groceries
and clothing and to encourage them and assist them as they
struggle for self-sufficiency!
Did You Know
43% of US families cannot afford basics like rent
and food. Most are childcare workers, home health aides, or
store clerks.
In Riverside County alone:
10% of residents suffer from food insecurity
18% of the food insecure are children
Of those people
who are food insecure, 1/3 are children
whose families are likely not eligible for assistance because of
family income above the 185% FPL (Family Poverty Level).
Overall,
there has been a 21% increase in the homeless
population in
Riverside since
2018
How many are served?
We serve approximately 2,400 individuals via Homeless
outreach, Emergency food pantry, Holiday food packages, and
Referrals to other agencies to promote self sufficiency
